CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL IN EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL

Congratulations to Jeff M. Longcrier having passed the CPESC exam.

 

Many units of government have passed laws, ordinances and regulations that attempt to minimize the misuse of land and water resources. Controlling soil erosion and the resulting sedimentation has created a need for the services of professionals trained in proper erosion and sediment control and water quality methods. Such professionals must increasingly be able to show evidence of their qualifications and competence.

 

The Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, (CPESC) is an established international certification process that recognizes individuals who have proven their ability in the field of erosion and sediment control.  Jeff M. Longcrier is now one of these individuals.

ALL RISK LEVEL 3 DISCHARGERS PLEASE NOTE:The Numeric Effluent Limitations (NELs) for pH and turbidity at Risk Level 3 construction sites contained in Order 2009-0009-DWQ are no longer in effect. In addition, because receiving water monitoring is required only if the NELs are triggered, all receiving water monitoring requirements are also suspended.

MTA Breaks Ground on New Facility and NCRM Heads up Stormwater Monitoring

The Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA) has begun construction on its new $5 million maintenance facility.  The MTA has partnered with NCRM to ensure that they comply with current storm water regulations and to implement a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan for the project. The state-of-the-art building and related work is expected to be finished next Summer.
